Knife grades
Although my main intention is to provide good quality hunting knives at a fair price I have used Accepted American Knife Collectors Condition Grades to describe each knife. Yes many of the knives listed are collectable but for mine a knife is there to be used. Grades are listed below:
PRISTINE MINT: Knife is mint. In addition, it sells itself in a powerful way.
MINT: Knife is the same as it was when it was produced. May have a minor crack in a handle, or a freckle on the blade/blades, but absolutely no evidence of use or sharpening.
NEAR MINT: Knife is nearly mint. Any deviation from mint is minor. If the knife has been expertly cleaned, it must appear as mint, full blade/blades, no evidence of sharpening or use.
EXCELLENT: Knife is in excellent condition. Handles are in fine shape. Blade/blades show only slight wear, or discoloration. Unless otherwise stated blade/blades and handle are original.
VERY GOOD: Knife is in very good condition. Blade/blades may show up to 10% wear. Blade/blades are original (unless otherwise stated). Handle original (unless otherwise stated) but may show damage. Blades or back springs(on folders) may be pitted.
PLUS OR MINUS (+ OR -): This may be used to describe a knife that may fall between the above categories.
