NG175

This is an original Western No. 85 hunter with a  gold buck's head inlaid into the handle! The 5-5/8" saber-ground blade has a gut hook, and the blade is deep-struck on the left side: "Western / W85 / U.S.A. / Stainless". The handle is made of impregnated, rosewood-colored hardwood, with a ten-point buck's head in gold inlaid on the right side. The knife measures 9-3/16" overall. The sheath is made of tough brown leather with the Western logo on the face, and it also has the logo of the N.R.A. Whittington Center, with "Founders Club". The sheath has a few light storage marks, but it looks like it has never been on a belt. As you know, this knife was made while Camillus was located in Camillus, New York and made the Western knives there.  Camillus closed its doors forever in September, 2007, and everything was sold off, including tooling. This knife will never be made again.
